Kilimanjaro 16th February 2012

 On  Tuesday 14th February 2012 Terry and Anita will be leaving for  Africa in an attempt to climb to the

“Roof of Africa” which is the  well renowned volcanic mountain of Kilimanjaro .

At a height of 19,340ft, five days solid trekking and climbing, along  with the   problems of altitude we are under no illusions that this will  be a  simple task.  Hopefully we will both be successful and reach

the top but thought an incentive of some sort would help us along  the way especially when the going gets tough. 

Raising money for our favourite charity seemed a good idea and as  we are both animal lovers and re-homed our dog Molly from  Battersea dogs home in October 2010 we thought they would be  ideal. 

Having dealt with Battersea and been to their premises in Kent we  fully  appreciate the time, care and effort they put into all their  animals  and how carefully they try to re-home them. 

All the staff  are extremely dedicated and endeavour to do their utmost for all the  animals in their care.
